Throughout my career if I could pick one band to photograph which hasn't crossed my path, it would be Hot Club of Cowtown. I love their music and their cool western vibe. We recently worked together and it was a pure joy. They are great musicians but even greater people. Most of their photos had some sort of western slant. I wanted to give them something completely different.

Yesterday, I shot the wedding of my friend, Beverly. I don't shoot many weddings, only those of close friends. Just not my style. When I do, I treat them as if I were shooting a big sporting event or famous rock star. The goal is to produce dynamic images. This photo is a good lesson for my photography students. A good image can be made anywhere. Beverly's reception was in a Tulsa recreation facility. The sun was setting in the windows as she was watching all the children in attendance dance together. Great moment!

This is a portrait of Whit Smith, who is the guitarist for Hot Club of Cowtown. We have been doing a lot of work together lately, shooting video and stills.

Stephanie Devine was doing some modeling for one of my video students today. I wanted to see if I could make a cool fashion shot with her some where on the OSUIT campus.

After a shoot last night in downtown Tulsa, I was headed home and couldn't resist shooting the heavy layer of Winter fog that coated Tulsa. This image was shot at Bartlett Square with a Canon 5D MarkII.

On my way to OSUIT this morning, the frozen fog was beautiful. I stopped off at the Rockin' Z ranch on Highway 75 and snapped some cool photos.

This is a photo of the frozen Oklahoma National Guard Thunderbird statue at the Creek Nation Headquarters in Okmulgee. My Dad was a Thunderbird.

I'm teaching my students about design in their photography and how color works to enhance your photos. This is a good example.
